Photos & Images

I do not have a digital copy of my photo; can I still print this photo on canvas?

We can only use digital files of images. Fortunately, you can take your printed photos to a local print shop, or photo kiosk, and have them converted to digital files. It is usually not very expensive to have an entire album converted. For quality results, your digital photos need to be at least 120 dpi.

We can only provide this service for a large order if you have more then 10 photos to print on canvas, please contact us and we would try our best to help you.

I do not know anything about photo editing or computers; how will I know the print will look good?

We ask that your digital file is at least 120 dpi, as photos of this resolution looks great on canvas prints. If you are not sure about how your photo will look, email the image to support@printingbox.co.uk. Let us know the canvas photo sizes you are considering, and we will provide you with recommendations.

Construction & Printing

How are your frames made?

We use 100% European pine frames that are sourced from managed forests. The depths of the canvas bar is 18mm/0.7 or 38mm/1.5 inches. Each of our high quality, durable frame includes a raised lip around the perimeter; this keeps indentations from forming on the canvas.

What type of canvas do you use?

Our canvas photo prints are printed on HD poly-cotton mix that has a GSM count of 300. To protect our high-quality canvases, we add a coating that makes them resistant to damage from water, dust, and UV light. All of our canvas prints come with a free hanging kit.

Do you offer canvas wrapping options?

Absolutely. Your canvas photo print can be stretched around the frame in one of three ways:

Mirror Wrap

The entire photo is visible from the front, and the image is mirrored onto the sides of the frame.

Gallery Wrap

The image is wrapped continuously around the front and the sides of the frame.

Solid Color Wrap

The entire photo is visible from the front, and the sides are filled with the solid color of your choosing.

If you have unique wrapping requirements you would like to request, please contact us to learn more about your options.

What kind of printers and inks do you use?

We print on state-of-the-art, professional Epson printers, along with certified Epson inks.

Care & Maintenance

Are canvas photos difficult to keep clean?

Absolutely not. Your photos can be kept in top condition with the use of a static-electricity dusting cloth or a vacuum with a brush attachment. You should never use any cleaning liquid or compound.
